Curiosities of the routes and others
SEAL THE COMPOSTELANA OR ACCREDITATION.
Our location is a must for pilgrims on the north road to Santiago de Compostela.
You can seal it in the Gothic church of Santa María del Campo, the town hall (pazo del marqués de Sargadelos) next to the building called torre de los Moreno, and the tourist office will be able to seal the compostelana. (We will also be happy to seal it ourselves). All these buildings you can observe from your room.
BEACH OF THE CATHEDRALS and AUGASANTAS.
In fifteen minutes you will find the Playa de las Catedrales, or if you prefer you can reach it by the Route of the Beaches, which we will be happy to guide you as well as the tide schedule to observe and enjoy them.
At 7km from Ribadeo by the main road or by the highway you will find a detour or roundabout with the indication of the Playa de las Catedrales and, following the indications provided by us, (tide schedule as well as the location on the beach) you can enjoy of its arches, vaults, galleries and caverns that the water and the wind have sculpted in the rocks, hence its name. It was also known until recently as "Augas Santas", which refers to a spring that flows from the rocks. The whistles of the wind are noteworthy when they filter between the gaps and the chimneys, they sound like the notes of an organ. and that give the place a certain mysterious air. It is remarkable its flora and vegetation: you can find red, brown, sea lettuce, sea parsley and the famous "herbas de namorar." Do not miss this natural monument.
